About the event

Get feedback before submitting your business plan! Meet with coaches from venture, legal and accounting firms to help you polish up your entry before the Round 1 submission.

How does Coaches' Corner work?

In a 25-minute session, you will meet with a pair of coaches, one with experience in your specific track industry and the other from the legal or accounting profession. Two business days in advance of the coaching session, you will have to submit a draft version of your business plan executive summary for your coaching team to review. The more complete your draft, the more valuable feedback you will get from the coaches.

This year, we invited experienced professionals from firms such as Foley Hoag, Google Ventures, Wilmer Hale, KPMG, Greenberg Traurig, Meditrina Pharmaceuticals, Commonwealth Capital Ventures, BPG Motors, Spark Capital, Bingham McCutchen, Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Biogen Idec, etc.

Rules and restrictions

In order to provide everyone a coaching opportunity, you can only sign up for one coaching session.

Coaching spots will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Please submit your draft business plan executive summary to Hilda Tang (hilda.tang@sloan.mit.edu) by Tue, Feb 23 at 6:30pm

If you do not submit a draft business plan executive summary for review by Tue, Feb 23 at 6:30pm, you will give up your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Also, bring two hard copies of your executive summary to the session. If you have updates after you submit the draft, you can bring a version with tracked changes.

If you have any questions, please email Hilda Tang (hilda.tang@sloan.mit.edu)

Waitlist

Due to the level of interest, we encourage all teams to sign up for a time slot as early as possible.  We will try our best to accommodate teams with waitlist tickets, however we cannot guarantee any availabilities.  We are working to secure more mentors and will contact those on the waitlist as time slots open up; we therefore encourage you to sign up for the waitlist when declared spaces have been exhausted.
